Re: [Bacula-users] Maximum Reload Requests
If it is a new installation and you are going to add a considerable amount of objects (fileset, job, client schedule...) increase it to a high value. example: 128 On Wed, Feb 2, 2022 at 9:32 AM Mark Dixon wrote: > We're on a more recent version of bacula, but we reload our config quite > frequently and have never needed to restart bacula-dir to get it to work. > > Best wishes, > > Mark > > On Wed, 2 Feb 2022, Shaligram Bhagat, Yateen (Nokia - IN/Bangalore) wrote: > > > [EXTERNAL EMAIL] > > Hi all, > > > > In the Bacula 9.4.4 main reference guide, there is following description > for Maximum Reload Requests : > > > > MaximumReloadRequests = Where is the maximum number of > reload command that can be done while jobs are running. Re: [Bacula-users] Maximum Reload Requests
There is no limit when jobs are not running, but a console counts as a job so that will eventually prevent reloading until you exit from all consoles. __Martin > On Wed, 2 Feb 2022 11:45:04 +, "Shaligram Bhagat, Yateen (Nokia said: > > Hi all, > > In the Bacula 9.4.4 main reference guide, there is following description for > Maximum Reload Requests : > > MaximumReloadRequests = Where is the maximum number of > reload command that can be done while jobs are running. Re: [Bacula-users] Maximum Reload Requests
We're on a more recent version of bacula, but we reload our config quite frequently and have never needed to restart bacula-dir to get it to work. The default is set to 32 and is usually sufficient. Does it mean that there is no limit when jobs are NOT running? I think it has nothing to with jobs running. In my experience, the reload will not work once this number is exceeded, we need to restart bacula-dir. Any comments? [Bacula-users] Maximum Reload Requests
Hi all, In the Bacula 9.4.4 main reference guide, there is following description for Maximum Reload Requests : MaximumReloadRequests = Where is the maximum number of reload command that can be done while jobs are running. The default is set to 32 and is usually sufficient. Does it mean that there is no limit when jobs are NOT running? I think it has nothing to with jobs running. In my experience, the reload will not work once this number is exceeded, we need to restart bacula-dir. Any comments?
