If you are using tape drives (standalone or autochangers) it is almost
always a better option than software compression.

When you run a job it will do what it has been configured to do.
It will not continue from where previous job has stopped.

It is worth to say that there exist an option "Rerun Failed Levels" which
detects if a previous job with a higher has level failed and in such case
the job would be upgraded to the failed job level.

It is performed on the client side.
