Re: [Bacula-users] TL2000 tape drive

2007-10-12 Thread David Scammell
I'm just beginning to use it this week, it appears to work out of the box
with 1.38 though.

Some details though, I'm using Xen, base os RHEL5 (32bit), domU where the
director and sd are is debian etch (stable). The machine is a new Dell 6850,
this is an LTO4 version connected with to a LSI logic SAS (mpt) card, I had
to rmmod the uhci usb driver from the dom0 before use on this machine, as it
appears to share an IRQ with the LSI card and caused problems YMMV. I don't
need the usb driver for my machine. For the Xen aware people I needed to use
the pciback driver and pass through 2 pci devices, email me for the details
next week at work.

The tape drive seems to be quite quick, 25 hosts are backing up now.
Restores are to be tested next week. The autochanger mechanism apears fully
working (AFAIK) under debian linux but i've not had time yet to configure
that with bacula. Its still early days but its looking promising!

Bacula: nice work people, thanks!
