I remember having some crashes in one of the consoles but the standard 'bconsole' worked just fine. I think the other consoles might be going away in future releases. For me bwx-console crashes all the time on 2.4.X under gentoo. However to me its not that big a deal. If I am doing anything that takes more than a few seconds I just ssh into any of my linux servers and run bconsole from them. I probably already have a few putty windows open anyways. A few months ago there was a thread about this problem and I believe Kern was made aware of this. [Bacula-users] Windows console crashes a lot
Why is it that the Windows console crashes so much? The most recent was doing list jobtotals, with a recorded error in ntdll.dll at address 0x000369da. It's always something like that, and it's not consistent. Restarting the console and running the same command succeeded. The only reliably repeatable aspect of the crash is that it happens when the director is returning data to display. I know I'm not the only one with the problem, so how is it that it's gone this long without being fixed? Or has it been fixed with 3.x, which hasn't made its way into my distro's package management system yet? -- Crystal Reports - New Free Runtime and 30 Day Trial Check out the new simplified licensing option that enables unlimited royalty-free distribution of the report engine for externally facing server and web deployment. http://p.sf.net/sfu/businessobjects ___ Bacula-users mailing list Bacula-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/bacula-users
