OK, scratch that. It turns out I forgot to disable nsalinux -- I though it'd be a reflex action by now but evidently not. Problem solved. Dima -- Dive into the World of Parallel Programming! Hello, I can't help you as I'm currently travelling through Indochina without connectivity. The packages work fine, in fact they are almost the same that have been put into rhel 7. I do not suggest to disable SELinux, you should first try to set up things as described in the readme and quickstart files in /use/share/doc/bacula-common/*. If you really need to deviate from default file location etc. I suggest you to modifiy the SELinux policy accordingly. Look at the output of the command: semanage fcontext -l | grep bacula Regards, --Simone On Dec 25, 2014 12:49 AM, Dmitri Maziuk dmaz...@bmrb.wisc.edu wrote: OK, scratch that. We disable selinux anyway because its security model is inappropriate for our environment. (That is why I didn't think of selinux until later: I assumed it was disabled like on every other computer here.) Dima -- Dive into the World of Parallel Programming! [Bacula-users] bacula 5.2.16 (slaanesh) anyone?
Hi all, has anyone got Simone's 5.2.16 rpm working on centos 6? And with postgres 9.2 and vchanger by any chance? I'm getting errors here that don't make sense... specifically, 23-Dec 16:59 bacula-dir JobId 0: Fatal error: Could not open Catalog MyCatalog, database bacula. 23-Dec 16:59 bacula-dir JobId 0: Fatal error: postgresql.c:248 Unable to connect to PostgreSQL server. Database=bacula User=bacula -- but only if I start the director from init.d script (service bacula-dir start). Running with -d 200 logs postgresql.c:1126-0 db_init_database first time If I run /usr/sbin/bacula-dir -f -v -d 200 it seems to connect to the database (postgresql.c:241-0 pg_real_connect done) and doesn't say init first time, but then in bconsole update slots says 'Device Vchanger has 0 slots'. There are 18 slots in the vchanger so that's just as wrong as unable to connect to postgres. So anyone knows for sure Simone's build actually works? -- at least with stock postgres and basic storage? PS. with /usr/sbin/bacula-sd -u bacula -g bacula -f -c /etc/bacula/bacula-sd.conf -v -d 200 vchanger works, too. So the build is really fubar. -- Dimitri Maziuk Programmer/sysadmin BioMagResBank, UW-Madison -- http://www.bmrb.wisc.edu signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature -- Dive into the World of Parallel Programming!
