I think I confused you when I said I can not get the $ prompt. I
normally use Bconsole, and do prefer it in fact. The reason I use BWX
for the restore is so I can use its' directory tree, which makes finding
files alot easier to find in a hurry.

I understand what you mean about 'walking first'. My conflict is that
the user guide says that I should be able to browse through the
directories in Bconsoles' restore mode when I get to a $-Prompt, but I
can not seem to find this prompt. I have pasted the Bconsole printout
for my progress as far as I can get:

The storage is perfectly available as I have been running

Can anyone please suggest why could this be?

Have you tried putting your directory in quotes?

I just tried using single and dbl quotes with no success.

However, by using option 5 I was given the $ prompt and navigated to a
single file and restored it without incident. This is awsome!

Knowing that the restore _does_ work, I re-entered the BWX restore mode
and completed it as before. However, this time I did not enter any
further details in the window after selecting the files and it worked
flawlessly. Assuming this is the result of running the DIR, SD, and FD
on the same location, I am witting the restore job for a remote client
now, I expect to have my answer shortly. If not I will write again to
ask more questions. :)

Thanks again for your help. you are a gentleman and a scholar.

Daniel
