RE: [Bacula-users] bacula-web 1.2

2005-12-05 Thread Heigl Florian - Munich-MR - external
Hi,

I made it to the 'white/blank screen' now, too. :)
I enabled the php-log in php.ini and found that bacula-web required
the $DOCROOT/bacula-web directory to be writable to the www user.
(don't include the configs subdir when using chown).

After this I still have a blank page, but due to some weird php errors,
which in my opinion stem from the old version of php I was using
(php 4.4.0). At the moment I'm using an ISDN dialup, so I'm not keen
on updating software, but it seems I have to.

Still, give the logging of php a try and let me know if it worked out
for You.

You were right... I changed the IP to do some testing and
 forgot to put it back.
I put it back, now I get a completely white screen in my browser.

  message has changed.

  DB Error: connect failed

Now it's a problem with the connection settings in bacula-web's
 config file ;
check hostname, DB user and - most commonly the issue - password

Hi,

Thanks guys... I think I know the problem when I do this command

mysql -h192.168.1.120 -ubacula-user -p bacula

it asks me for a password. I don't have a password set up on the bacula
database (to my knowledge)

I tried without the -p

mysql -h192.168.1.120 -ubacula-user bacula
ERROR 1044 (42000): Access denied for user ''@'backup1.harrow.gov.uk' to

I never set a password on the database.. i think this might be the problem.

You are welcome. Your comments are a great birthday gift and, in a open source
project as this, the incentive of the work. (yes, my birthday is today :) )

I take advantage of this to say a pair of things about bacula-web in my next
mail.

Best regards,
Juan Luis Francés

Happy birthday!
