Re: [Bacula-users] bacula on ubuntu-server - can't connect to client port 9102
Try to telnet to port 9102 from the bacula director. If this connects, then you will want to look at the passwords. If that fails, then you have a different problem altogether, but I'm not going into that here. Try to telnet to that port, and report back here what you find. -Original Message- From: ds2k5 [mailto:s...@heller.de] Sent: 03 November 2009 11:13 To: bacula-users@lists.sourceforge.net Subject: [Bacula-users] bacula on ubuntu-server - can't connect to client port 9102 Hello, i have installed Ubuntu Server 9.10 with bacula 2.44 (with mysql database) The bacula-server runs, i can make run - BackupCatalog in the bconsole Build OS: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu debian squeeze/sid Volume name(s): BckUp0002 Volume Session Id: 1 Volume Session Time:1257243135 Last Volume Bytes: 3,984,346 (3.984 MB) ... Re: [Bacula-users] bacula on ubuntu-server - can't connect to client port 9102
Hi Dennis, It's a common trouble on deb like distro, packager transform network bacula solution to only localhost ready solution. You just have to check everywhere in conf that you use a real qualified name and replace localhost ! ds2k5 wrote: Hello, i have installed Ubuntu Server 9.10 with bacula 2.44 (with mysql database) The bacula-server runs, i can make run - BackupCatalog in the bconsole Build OS: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu debian squeeze/sid Volume name(s): BckUp0002 Volume Session Id: 1 Volume Session Time:1257243135 Last Volume Bytes: 3,984,346 (3.984 MB) ...
