Dear friends,
I seem to remember having read somewhere a story about a French lutenist (Vieux
Gautier perhaps) playing before some king: the king praises his playing but
adds something like “It is a pity he doesn’t play the guitar” provoking the
lutenist’s anger.
Does anybody can help me finding the quotation (if didn’t dream about this
story)?
Thank you in advance
Andrea
