I just signed on to the Google BBEdit list and so I got a whole bunch of
posts.Sorting by Subject I wonder if it come to anyone's attention that 25% of
those posts concern this Subject?

This made me wonder where the hue and cry to rip these features out came from
i.e., what part of my $39 was allocated to something that seems to piss a lot
of folks off?

Love that font at the bottom of the BBEdit window. Gives one practice in
reading the Lords Prayer engraved on the head of a pin.

Used to be a single click on an icon.

Is it now Benny Hill inspired?

lue URL LInks

2011-08-22 Thread Joe Walters
Mac OS X: 10.6.8
BBEdit: 10.0.1 and 9.6.8

Every now and then I must click on something that causes any URLs I type to
immediately turn blue (active) when I surround the URL with < and >.

Removing either of the < or > characters causes the URL to turn "black" and
putting it back causes the URL to become active again (great fun -:)

I really like this. How do I make it a permanent part of my environment?

Kind Regards

Need a hint

2011-09-07 Thread Joe Walters
OS X10.56.8
BBEdit 10.0.2 (3087)

When I write an URL I always "protect" it by enclosing it with < and > i.e.,

<http://www.mesa.azweather.com/>

There is "something" that I do from time to time that cases the URL to turn
blue.

Any subsequent URLs also are blue.

In addition, if I've previously written one or more previously, they also turn
blue.

All this "blueness" requires that thye URLs have the < prefix and > suffix.

I love it!

How do I do it all the time?

Sorry. Need a more explicit hint.

The word Markdown does not generate a response in Help.

Tried Help > Language and nothing leapt out at me.

Looked at each menu item and nothing seemed appropriate.

Thanks in advance
