Not certain if this is what you are seeking, but someone posted a couple 
months back a method for creating separate files from a list in a text 
file. You might start there.

[Sorry if this double-posts, but can't see the first one sent..]

Hi All,

I would like to create files based on template files, replacing 
placeholders with content from 'fields' on a line in a document.

Ex:

Raw data file contect:

ip_address_1 hostname_1 data_1
ip_address_2 hostname_2 data_2
ip_address_3 hostname_3 data_3

I would then like to replace placeholders in a template file and create one 
file pr. line.

Anyone have any workflows/scripts for that?
