Re: Need formatting help for columns

2019-02-21 Thread Greg Raven
Considering there are four or five different ways to create columns in
HTML, we need to see the actual code before we can respond substantively.
This probably isn't a BBEdit issue, either, though.

Could be some simple tag misstake or a change in the CSS used to style
the page. Do you have a link to an example?

I was wondering if html 4 is progressively being changed, with the aim
of
pushing out html 4 and forcing the use of html 5 -- or is this
nonsense?

Probably has nothing at all to do with the problem.

Need formatting help for columns

2019-02-20 Thread Patricia Scott
Hello, again. My website has several pages that contain lists in columns.
Originally, they appeared properly, the names (of fruit trees) lined up on
the left side of each column in alphabetical order, and the three columns
side by side.

However, suddenly, the three columns on the page became one column in the
centre of the page, with the contents of the three linearly down the middle
of the page.

Any clues about why this happened? More importantly, how do I fix it?

I was wondering if html 4 is progressively being changed, with the aim of
pushing out html 4 and forcing the use of html 5 -- or is this nonsense?
