I agree. I don't change my preferences often enough to really care about this. The preferences window is not resizable, and the sidebar is not resizable either. This means that I have to waste space on the left side AND I can't see a full list of the available settings in the Preference pane. I have 1080 horizontal pixels, please don't artificially limit what I can see. Oh wait, it's even more annoying. The size changes dynamically based on which preference category I am looking at.
