Already been reported and assigned Case 123664.

I would agree that this is definitely something that I would like as
well. If it's possible, I would like BBEdit to remember the state of
the project file, collapsed or not collapsed. Sometimes BBEdit will
fail because of ExpanDrive or some other 3rd party application having
issues and I have to restart BBEdit, having to reset the Project list
to my working style can be a pain.

Thanks!
Derek

Projects forget open directories in BBEdit 9.1

2008-12-17 Thread rowen

I have a master project that contains all my projects organized in a
shallow directory tree. Formerly this would always open with all
directory contents showing, making for easy access. In BBEdit 91. it
always opens the master project with the directory contents hidden,
which is a pain.

As an aside, it looks like BBEdit is getting closer to supporting fast
access to projects internally (which would make master project files
unnecessary). I see that projects are listed separately in the Recent
menu, which is very nice. Unfortunately the limit on # of entries in
the Recent menu applies to all items, rather than applying separately
to files and projects. Thus one quickly loses ones projects off the
menu. This makes it hopeless to try to reliably remember recently used
projects.

But even if that is fixed (and I sincerely hope it is) I would prefer
some way of grouping my remembered projects hierarchically, so barring
some cleverer internal support for remembered project files I will
probably continue to rely on a master project file.
