I think you're talking about accidentally hitting the Help key -- which is right next to the backspace key on an extended keyboard, which used to drive me nuts, too. The solution is to remap the Help key to something else in the Menus section of BBEdit's Preferences. Are you talking about the code-completion feature? If so, it can be turned off in Preferences Editing: General Top of the right panel. I have mine setup to only come up with a keypress for Complete.
