I no longer have 2.6.22 running on the laptop where I can run my 4318; however, 
the current wireless
2.6 git tree, which uses b43 as the driver, gets a transmit rate of 10.6 Mbs 
and a receive rate of
16.6 Mbs, when the interface rate is set to 54 Mbs with iwconfig. These rates 
are measured with
iperf at a distance of 2 m between the laptop and the AP, and using WPA-PSK 
encryption.

All WPA encryption/decryption is done in software for bcm43xx, b43, and 
b43legacy drivers. If your
copy of wpa_supplicant and associated software can handle EAP and 
ca-certificate, then the driver
will work with that scheme.
