Errata on Soil Food Web

2002-03-08 Thread Jose Luiz Moreira Garcia

Listening to Dr Ingham´s tapes and to some of
her lectures I have heard her saying many times that plants are
passive sponges and sometimes she makes a suction sound
with her mouth to exemplify this feature.
For those of you that knows her more closely it would be ideal
to send her a copy of the article Insoluble yet Available by
Dr William Albrecht found in volume I in which he explains why this isn´t
so.
I have also another evidence to demonstrate that plant absorption
of nutrients does not follow any known physical-chemical law.
Generally mineral concentration inside the rootlets is higher than in soil
solution.
But again, I have no PhD.
