[beagleboard] Micro sd card in BBB

2018-03-06 Thread rakesh . kondeti
Hello,

I am a newbie to Beaglebone black. Successfully completed the steps of
booting BBB with the latest debian images, installing the drivers in
windows and establishing network connectivity to BBB through usb. But,
actually I want to launch debian from the eMMC, but which is now launching
from the micro SD card.

How can this be fixed? i.e., launching debian from the eMMC and not from
the micro SD card. BBB should read micro SD as external storage only .It
should not boot from it.

Regards,
Rakesh

[beagleboard] Tightvnc key mismatch

2018-02-28 Thread rakesh . kondeti
Hello,

I have recently updated my BBB with the latest debian image . Since the
update, I have found that when I remote in using Tightvncserver, the keys I
press on my keyboard do not mimic on the BBB terminal window. For instance
when I press the 's' key I get 'b' on the terminal window.

How to resolve this problem?

[beagleboard] Suggestion for connecting multiple components to Beaglebone black through usb.

2018-02-26 Thread rakesh . kondeti
Hello,

I am working on a project, in which beaglebone black is used. The
components to be connected to beaglebone black are Sensehub (which consists
of accelerometer) and a webcam. As sensehub cannot be directly connected to
beaglebone black directly, we connected it to launch-XL, which in turn to
be connected to beaglebone black through USB. The real problem comes here.
Now, the webcam should also be connected to beaglebone through USB. But,
the beaglebone black is provided with only one USB slot. So, we are only
able to connect one of the either components (webcam or Launch-XL) to
beaglebone black.

* So, how multiple components are connected to beaglebone black
through USB?*

Regards,
Rakesh Reddy.

[beagleboard] Suggestion for Camera and power source that will connect to Beaglebone Black

2018-02-14 Thread rakesh . kondeti

Hello,
I am a newbie to Beaglebone black and would like to hear suggestions for
camera and power source, for the following requirements :-

*1)Camera Requirements*
i) Need to capture pictures at a pre-defined time lapse for object
recognition and distinction.
ii) No video is required.
iii) Most probably, images are to be captured in day, ambient light(but
appreciated if it captures in low light too)
iv)No constraints on size. But as we are making a wearable and portable
device, small size camera's will do better.

*2)Power Source Requirements*
i)Should be able to wake beaglebone black.
ii)Must be rechargeable
iii)Once charged fully, it should be sufficient to constantly feed BBB with
power no less than 2 hrs.

Note:-
*In both (Camera and power source) suggesting cost effective components
is appreciated*.

Raspberry pi cameras and webcams such as Logitech C310, Logitech C270
can be used for connecting a BBB ???
If used, can they meet the above specified requirements??

Regards,

Rakesh
