you should check HTTPSocket stopUsingProxy and related. But do not use update for 3.8 to go 3.9 Get the latest version of 3.9 (in 3.9 we cannot easily use software update since we use Monticello and got some problems since Squeak is not easy to maintain with a new packaging system). I have the same problem. My proxy settings are empty. They were when I checked them. Where can I find the host(s) it is trying to reach?
