Mike you may want to look into the registry at HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall I believe you will need to filter the keys below a bit since I seem to have keys for programs I already deleted as well as keys that are either empty or contain value SystemComponent:DWORD=1. Jenda is correct - it's not OT, and yes, you will need to filter the subkeys. You want to look for the values of the DisplayName strings.
