I don't think we to make an extra mod_perl list.  Maybe I'll get
around to adding some of the apache.org lists to the perl.org news
server some day, but don't hold your breath - my list of projects is
(too) long. :-)

I just thought it would be nice to centralize the mod_perl discussion 
here, along with the rest of the perl-related stuff.. seeing as the 
stiff competition from the PHP fanatics and with the help of the Zend 
Optimizer, PHP appears to far outstrip mod_perl in both memory usage and 
speed. the more people that can get involved with improving mod_perl the 
better, and again, bringing discussion to one centralized location for 
these things isn't a bad idea.

He's not saying that there should not be a mod_perl list. It's that there 
is already a mod_perl list on apache.org. Go to http://perl.apache.org and 
subscribe to the mod_perl list there.
