Dear Mary,

Hello! this is from one of dog-lovers in Japan.
Thank you for your infomation regarding to Old Dog Vestibular Syndrome.
I read your posting for Bernese Mountain Dog Mailing List and just visited those
sites
you kindly mentioned.

Yes !..., those stories made me remember my late Taro (Akita) who also suffered
of
this disease. He got it at his age of 12 years 6 month.
He went to the Bridge at his age of 14 years 10 month not because of this
desease but
because of heavy diarrhea.
I think, if we have good knowlege about this desease, we can teat dog many years
even
after suffered.

Please read my Taro's sour-aweet story at;

http://living-with-dogs.com/en/aged/index.html
Chapter- [9] Became impossible to stand up any more?

and at;
http://www.tcp-ip.or.jp/~inaba/roken.html
of which the Home-Page is http://www.tcp-ip.or.jp/~inaba/

I am sorry in advance since these sites are bilingual in English/Japanese so you
may
find some funny characters. Please read English portion only !
