gharris999 said the following on 23/10/2005 04:26:

Is it posible that Robin could rename his archive cues to something like
FancyMusicTitleFileName.cue.not ?? That's how I get slimserver to
skip stuff.

My current workround is:

# cd /home/slimserver/music/library
# find . \( -iname *.cue -o -iname *.m3u \) -exec chmod 000 \{\} \;

That is, find all .cue and .m3u files in my music directory and remove
all permissions.

Re: [SlimDevices: Beta] Blank album names appearing in latest trunk

2005-10-23 Thread Philip Meyer
Updated this morning and Album tagging still appears to be broken.

I think it's something to do with the No Album tag - I don't think I've got
any now. Instead they are coming up as multiple blank entries.

Thanks Phil - I'll get this fixed.

Here's another one:

Operation `': no method found, argument in overloaded package
Class::DBI::Object::Has::Been::Deleted at
P:/Music/SlimServer/trunk/server/Slim/Music/Info.pm line 1591.

Hi Dan,

Do you have any 3rd party plugins installed?

Yes, I indeed have some 3rd party plugins installed.
They never gave me a problem, but I will try to find out what happens
if I remove them.

I think this is the whole story:

I was playing Random Songs. A song came on that I didn't like anymore. I was
about to do an SVN update and needed to do a rescan, so I pressed stop and
deleted the file on disk.

I then closed the browser, stopped SlimServer, did an SVN update, restarted
SlimServer, and I think it instantly crashed - presumably because the current
track didn't physically exist anymore.

To me it looks like checkin 4724 is now the problem.
The problem introduced with checkin 4722 has been resolved with checkin 4738.

Fixed in change 4741.

Still not working 100%.
When I browse an album with embedded cuesheet, the flac file itself is
shown on top of the list in addition to all the individual track. Only
the tracks should be displayed.

Attached is two JPEGs illustrating the problem.
The first line in in the browse album view is the flac album file.
When clicking on this track, the attached Song info view is

[SlimDevices: Beta] Re: Version: 6.2b2 - Problems searching for albums containing various artists

2005-10-23 Thread norderney

Thanks Dan. Good news is I have used iTunes to set the Compilation tag
on all my MP3 Various Artist albums and it has worked perfectly.

Just one final problem. I also have some FLAC Various Artist albums,
but iTunes does not appear to read FLAC files. Do you know of any
utility that will allow me to set a Compilation tag on these FLAC
files, or will I have to manually move all the tracks by cutting and
pasting?

Many thanks once again.
