I don't know how to do this, but I'd suggest enabling the comet_d
debugging and copying the format the 'browse' menus appear in!

I think you should be using:
window => { titleStyle => 'mymusic', menuStyle => 'album' }
Instead of:
window => { titleStyle => 'mymusic' }

I'm not sure if there are more menu styles available than "album", but
"album" will get you a menu with double item height and an icon beside
each item if icon-id is set on the items.

When I experimented with this in the Custom Browse plugin I got
overlapped images to the right if I hadn't set the menuStyle, I suppose
this might be the funky behaviour you are describing.

[SlimDevices: Beta] Upgrade 6.5.x -> 7beta what a mess!

2007-11-24 Thread tommyz

I just upgraded. Migration of my settings is poor!
There is a lot of work left, folks!

I have used my existing MySQL installation. It now uses its own.
Why is it not maintained ?
How Do I get it back the old way, there is no conf file to edit ???

The clock settings when switched off have changed from 24 hours full
size to 12 hours. Brightness has changed also.

I used to run it as service - no more! Why is it not migrated? Why do I
have to create a user, it used to run fine under the local system
account?

These are just my first impressions, I'm not amused!

I'm also not impressed with whatever changes were made to the services.
Everything worked fine for me using LocalSystem, but support were
gettng calls from people using network drives so it was changed.

Anyway, to go back to the old method, dump SlimTray, it's useless now.

Run "C:\Program Files\SqueezeCenter\server\squeezecenter.exe"
--install

... and Squeezecentre will appear in the list of services again. Then
just reset it back to the using the system account.

Remember to remove Slimtray from your Program Items->Startup Group, as
I don't know what mucking around that app does now.

[SlimDevices: Beta] SQL ErrCode 13

2007-11-24 Thread maoravni

Hi,

I'm using SqueezeCenter on windows. All in all, I'm very happy with the
server, except for the daily SQL error I get when scanning:

Can't create/write to file 'c:\sqltemp\#sql_b98_0.MYD'

I've searched the forums for possible solutions, and done the
following:

* Some of the files were on a different disk, and linked to by a
shortcut. I've moved all files to the same subfolder, and removed all
shortcuts.

* At first I added an exclusion rule to my antivirus - symantec. Now
I'm running without one.

* Just to make sure, I removed all playlists and cue files from the
folders.

I still get the error above.

Here's the status on the server I'm using:

SqueezeCenter Version: 7.0 - 14871 - Windows XP - EN - cp1255
Server IP address: 192.168.0.100
Perl Version: 5.8.8 MSWin32-x86-multi-thread
MySQL Version: 5.0.22-community-nt
Platform Architecture: 586

So far nothing helps.

Any more ideas?

Maor

It's a beta - you should expect things to break/not work. If you're not
prepared for that than stick with the release version until v7.0.0 is
officially released.

In the meantime, please submit bug reports for all the glitches you have
encountered.

Thanks,

I can see the Execute on -> Power On, Power Off, Open File, Play File

I see the Select Script Menu with two choices (Server) and (none). I'm

just put the executescript folder in the plugin folder of the server

No need to fiddle with the command line. There's a startup manager in the SC

If SC is run as a service, SqueezeTray does indeed not do much for you. It

I had missed that class too when I first modified Adrian's Server Power

that I had hard-coded it to be installed to server\Slim\Plugin rather
than to the correct spot for "user" plugins: server\Plugins.

Attached is a more up to date version for Windows and SC7 that fixes
that and other problems. The linux version will follow.
