Re: [SlimDevices: Beta] SBR configuration tool - alpha testers required

2008-05-09 Thread Mnyb

I also would like to thank for this excellent tool.

I could not have setup my duet without it.
something is/was a little of the hook with setup procedure.
SBC ok (controlling my SB3 ), but SBR failed to find my music source.
Enter NET-UDAP basically only the ip was rigth in the SBR.

Develop this further.

I think one setup for SBC and one for SBR makes more sense.

[SlimDevices: Beta] scanner 7.1 - 19443 - problems with multi dir albums

2008-05-09 Thread slimkid

this version ignores discnumbers with compilation albums and creates
separate album for each sub directory. Works fine for non
compilations.

The sound stage will open up, bass will tighten and the imaging will
improve. DVD performance will also increase substantially.

Sure. I'm currently running 7.2 to test some things. Regardless of
which version I'm running, I prefer to use the RPM built by Logitech so
I can identify (and hopefully fix) any RPM issues that pop up.

If you're only using lame to transcode, and the new version uses less
CPU
than the old, I'd go for it. I wouldn't use it to encode your own
music
until it has the hydrogenaudio seal of approval though.

Got the source. What a great tool. Now it finally was possible for me to
get my SBR to work with a wired network. I cannot wait until you finish
the plugin for SC.

[SlimDevices: Beta] 7.0.1 strange behavior after switching to SN

2008-05-09 Thread tamanaco

With today's build I just noticed that when I switch to the
SqueezeNetwork using the SB3 remote the player panel on the Web UI does
not update. The progress bar continues as if the player was still
connected with album art and all. No sound of course, as the SB3 has
been switched to the SN. The panel used to refresh after a couple
seconds and show a blank panel indicating that no player was connected.
I don't know if this is specific to today's build as I have not used the
Web UI for a couple days.

Another thing... in the past few days I also noticed that when I select
play on a track with the remote directly from the library or from the
playlist the SB3 screen goes blank where the name of the track is
displayed for just a fraction of a second. Like a little pause before
the song starts playing. Subsequent play selection might or might not
display this behavior. My SB3 is hardwired and as far as I can tell
this is also a recent glitch. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Thanks

Pocket reference guide to our lingo:

SBR = Squeezebox Receiver
SBC = Squeezebox Controller
Duet = SBR + SBC
SB3 = Squeezebox v3 aka Squeezebox Classic
TR = Transporter
SC = SqueezeCenter Software
SN = SqueezeNetwork Service
SP = SqueezePlay software (coming with release 7.2)

2008-05-09 Thread finkaudio

Hi,

had the same problem and fixed it as well with the other scanner
version.

It's running now. Funny enough, on my NAS (SSODS), the scanning was
doing OK with the same build from tonight, but did not get my playlist
right. I can see it, but when you click on it, it's empty...

However, thanks for you fix

Best regards
