It's getting weirder if disable the firewall and then connect squeezeplay and enable the firewall again it works ? And if I run Sp for win under wine on my ubuntu machine, it works ? Hello All, I've got an account with the original mysqueezebox.com site all six players are registered there. I'm now running 7.4 nightlys and want to get my 3rd party music services working lastfm radiotime etc - So I've now created a new account on www.test.squeezenetwork.com with the same email address. Can somone help me get my players working with www.test.squeezenetwork.com. On the latest 7.4 nightly slimserver and firmware my players come up with My Apps - Invalid player ID. *Also* I;ve gone entered all my music service account logins into the new www.test.squeezenetwork.com "Apps" framework - But they are not showing up in my local slimserver webpage I'm now missing the Applets drop down completly now. Is the moving of player id's somthing that's going to happen on the migration to the new wedsite? Any chance of getting mine moved now? Wanted to try the new Controller UI on the Controller, is there a firmware somewhere for it that has the UI changes? I use an Ubuntu server and there aren't any 7.4 packages in the unstable repository it seems (changed sources.list, did update and tried upgrade). Squeezeplay Beta works fine on my Arch Linux box under wine btw. :) Another thing, will there be ever another UI to input text on the Controller? Like a grid or something similar, maybe with something that allows for a 'lazy search', the current way is my biggest gripe with the Controller. Now it has stoped working for me on win-XP on an Eee PC I tried to remove the settings but i can never comlete the setup procedure and not even if i specify a "remote library" will it find my server. But heres the funny part it is visible from my web-UI and i can play music on the Eee PC but squeezeplay does not know that and still thinks it's not conected. Just tried SqueezePlay 7.4r7538 on a PPC Mac Mini OS 10.4.11 (with all the latest updates) running SC 7.3.3 - 27044. Looks pretty good except for the album art which looks really low rez at full size, but OK at thumbnail size. I'm also running SqueezePlay 7.3r3476M side by side on the same machine, and the album art is absolutely fine there. I'm using 7.3.4 (28402) and I tried this and I have to re-select my server when I switch back to SqueezePlay and Select My Music. So, they introduce a new interface and change the behavior of the entire product range to the worse... I much agree with Erlands comments about consistency across different devices in the household and also that one-touch-play is good for a touch-device. But wouldn't it be posible to have the touch have two differnt behaviors, one for the remote, and one for the touchinterface? That way the IR-remotes, and all other interfaces can remain the same as allways and the touch-interface can do whatever it needs to do to be efficient. At least for me and my family, using the controller exclusively, the new behavior is very confusing. I guess that I have to check out the party and playlist-modes, to see if they work better for me. I never really saw the need for them in daily use (Parties is a different matter), since the behavior was pretty consistent and easy to use. So, since this will probably not be changed, I have at least got it out of my system. Actually i think 7.4 is pretty neat on the controller. My two biggest issues are the drilldown-issue and that the home menu is way too cluttered. Oh, yeah and it would have been nice with some more wallpapers without too much contrast but each in a different color. It is hard to find 4 different wallpapers that are easy to tell apart at a glance, without selecting one with a rainbow or some such "flashiness".
