Sorry. The "even" gave that statement an emphasis I didn't mean. Like I said: flacs+cues have never worked better than they do now. Re: [SlimDevices: Beta] Embedded cue sheets
My whole library of >50k tracks is about 99% flacs with embedded cuesheets so I'm highly invested in this issue. Andy has made several important improvements for support for flacs+cuesheets in the past year. At the moment, 7.6 is working better for me than any previous version of SBS, in terms of support for this format. I just updated to svn 31867 and I'm having no problem with playback. Have you gone to Settings->Advanced->Performance and disabled "Automatically detect changes"? AFAIK, the automatic scanner with 7.6 is still flaky. With manual scans, things have been A-OK for months. Generally, what I do with a new install of 7.6 is to 1). disable automatic scanning, 2). stop the SBS server process, 3). manually delete all the .db files from the cache directory and finally 4). restart SBS and observe if the external scanner process has fired up and is doing it's job. Things have tended to go smoothly after that. -- gharris999 gharris999's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=115 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=85266 ___ beta mailing list beta@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta

[SlimDevices: Beta] Embedded cue sheets
I just gave 7.6 a spin again - it has been several months since I last tried it. It looks promising - however, I noticed the recurrence of an old problem - the single flac/embedded cue sheet issue. Almost fixed in the 7.5 series, the single flac albums with embedded cue are not playable at all in 7.6 r31864. The albums do not appear in the database, nor are they playable if I browse by folder. I've filed a bug report (http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=16845).
