2011-08-29 Thread JJZolx

One thing that seems to cause problems is having the Settings page open
at the time you attempt to play something. It sometimes affects the
player targeted in the browse window. It's not the only cause, because
I've seen it without the Settings page as well, but it seems to happen
more often.

IIRC: "If I recall correctly"

Yeah, don't worry about Revue testing, that's being handled by Logitech
QA. I would suggest you guys focus on other things, especially Xbox/PS3
which I don't have.

I figured that, but maybe we can test some backwards compatibility with
2.1. There is "leaked" build of v2 (3.1 Honeycomb) making its round
around the net, but it requires the Revue to be rooted in order to
install it. Unlike my Android Smartphone which was rooted using
software, the only method currently available to root the Revue
requires hardware modification (soldering). Once this leaked 3.1 build
is installed there is no way to go back to the official build. Given
that a destructive root process is required and the fact that it's a
non-official (full of bugs) build, I'll wait a bit longer and see what
happens (officially/Unofficially) with the Revue software updates.

The problem is that all testing is being done against LMP v2 which is part of
an internal beta, there is unfortunately no public beta firmware for Revue.

Squeezebox server version: 7.6.2 - r33230 @ Sun Aug 28 02:03:02 PDT 2011
OS: Windows 7 - NL - cp1252; 64 bit
Platformarchitecture: 586
Perl-version: 5.10.0 - MSWin32-x86-multi-thread
Databaseversion: DBD::SQLite 1.34_01 (sqlite 3.7.7.1)

Filestorage is on internal harddisk only; no external drives (except
for backup of course)
There are about 75.000 MP3's, no cue-sheets; all have embedded artwork.

All stored in subfolders: /artist/year-album

The scan process seems to take a lot of time on the first step
(removing deleted files); though there is some noticeable progress.
The scan log seems to be from a week ago, but there are some lines in
server.log that indicate that the scan process terminated OK this

- you music files, codecs, using cuesheets, embedded artwork, number of
tracks

any hints in the logfile?
