Re: [SlimDevices: Beta] Lms 7.7 rc3
Installed just fine . Restart command bug is yet not fixed so it does not auto-start after install . # service squeezeboxserver start is still the start command and squeezeboxserver is still the user, name change is for appearance on web-UI etc not more than skin deep thankyou ! (no such bugs as last time around ) LMS kicks of a full rescan directly after start ?? why ?? No chance to enter any picture or video folders and then start the scan yourself. Can someone explain the design decision to autoscan after install ? Sometimes you have schema changes that demands rescan . But why not just have a message "you must do a full clear and rescan before using LMS 7.x.y" . And then the user could review his library settings and then start the scan. I'll let the server scan while I'm at work I try to use in LMS the afternoon and report bugs if I find any -- Mnyb Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH 2 x MeridianDSP5200 MeridianDSP5200HC 2 xMeridianDSP3100 +Rel Stadium 3 sub. Re: [SlimDevices: Beta] Lms 7.7 rc2
The RC2 install is borked on Win 7 - exactly as Bill Burns described. See attached screenshots after 30 mins... If you kill the uninstall process in Task Manager, it then completes OK. The problems appear to be related to squeezetray.exe... The initial scan (post-install) appears to complete OK but... New Music is empty... and a new/changed scan immediately kicks off... After that all seems OK. Music scanned fine, all present and correct - except for a new intolerance (well, a warning message in scanner.log) for rating tags containing decimal points (e.g. "3.5"). +---+ |Filename: CropperCapture[2].jpg| |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=12533| +---+ -- Phil Leigh You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it ain't what you'd call minimal... Crazy, on trying to wake the server with the Boom this morning, it worked no problem, after days of not working. I'll monitor this to see if the problem returns before filing a bug report.
