Hi Michael
- LMS is running on Ubuntu Server
- IP @ of LMS server is 192.168.0.1
- I forward my LMS 9000 port to the internet ... of course using a non
standard port (differs from 9000)

[SlimDevices: Beta] Access to settings pages is now restricted?

2018-01-21 Thread ltsv38

Hello

I've upgraded my LMS, running on an Ubuntu Server, to v7.9.1 build
1516346293
And I have a new issue when tying to access to settings using an
internet connection (no problem when browsing on my local network)

Code:

Slim::Web::HTTP::generateHTTPResponse (975) Access to settings pages is
restricted to the local network or localhost: 192.168.0.254 ->
settings/index.html

192.168.0.254 is the IP address of my router on the local network

Is it a new function of LMS?
Is it possible, using a setting, to allow or not to use setting as
yesterday?

Thanks
Pierre

Thanks for your reply
So there is no possibility to have one art for each track plus one art
for the album:(

[SlimDevices: Beta] LMS bug (or not?) with embedded arts

2015-07-21 Thread ltsv38

Hello

I use LMS V7.9.0
I have a music structure with one folder per album containing: one flac
file per track and one Folder.jpg file for the albumart.
99% of the flac files doesn't contain an embedded art but, for some of
the I have an embedded jpeg (for example to add the image of the single
song).
When or an album I have this situation (on global Folder.jpg file and
some embedded arts for some songs):
- when I browse in the web interface by albums: the albumart is not
the Folder.jpg file but one of the embedded arts.
- when I browse by tracks:
- tracks with embedded arts are OK,
- tracks without embedded arts show the art of the album (or art of
  track Nr 1 ?)

Bug or not a bug? (for me response is Yes)

Regards

Pierre, France

Hello

I'm running Version 7.8 Build #1386246861 on a Linux/Ubuntu Server
In 99.9% of the cases, my files are FLAC and don't have any embedded
Artworks.
For a while, I noticed that the scanner noticed messages like "Starting

Today I realized this test:
1 - Full rescan of the library by "-Clear library and rescan

2 - Just after it' finished and without changing anything of the files:
I launched an incremental scan with "-Look for new and changed music-"

Result is that with this 2nd rescan some artworks are updated!

Thanks for your reply "mr_hyde"

I don't think that it's the same problem for me
- I don't use symlinks
- The log file has not the same message than your's
- Scanner reports that it discovers no files for videos
- I also tried with the same folder structure (except "D:" instead of
"/mnt") and the same files on Windows 7 without problem

Code:

Discovering files/directories: /mnt/Music/Music/Blues (335 of 335)
Complete 00:00:00
Scanning new media files: /mnt/Video (0 of 0) Complete 00:00:01

Media scan terminated unexpectedly (Scanning Progress)
  Total Time: 00:00:01 (Wednesday 19 October 2011 / 11:36:11)

Code:

scan: [argument does not have a struct associated with it at
/usr/share/squeezeboxserver/CPAN/Media/Scan.pm line 155.

  [11-10-19 11:36:10.9396] main::main (341) Error: Skipping post-process & Not

My first analyse was that when migration from 7.6 to 7.7 the database
structure was not correctly updated (I suppose there are new tables for
new medias). So I tried to delete all files in the cache folder to
create a new SQLite database but the same problem remains.

I have no problem if I scan only audio files.
My feeling was that the database structure is not correct (not updated
when migrating from SBS 7.6). So I tried to delete all the files in the
cache folder to recreate a new database. This solution didn't solve the
scan problem.

I tried also LMS 7.7 on a spare Windows7 computer using the same media
collection and the scan completed correctly!

Any idea for Linux?

You use yon with localinstall option. I'm just looking for the

The problem is solved: after a reboot of the server "Squeezebox Server"
start as "Logitech Media Server"!

With SBS I enabled the Trunk Repository in

no dedicated repo was installed (squeezecenter repo is still active)
How to install the new repo?

I've adapted the proposed method because I'm using *Perl 5.12.4* on
Fedora 15 i386
I was able to upgrade to last SBS 7.6 build (#32741)

The problem seems to be that build 32521 added support for Perl 5.12.3
but now some Linux distributions (Fedora 15 for example) include Perl
5.12.4!

I have exactly the same problem. Impossible to upgrade beyond the build
32517
I've still tried today with build 32673... always without success

I hope some developer will have a look at it!

Re: [SlimDevices: Beta] Problem with SBS 7.6 Buid 32523

2011-07-01 Thread ltsv38

Thanks MusicManiac

I understand in your post that between builds 32517 and 32523, version
7.6 has been rebuilt for perl 5.12.3
In my case (I have verified that I have only one version of perl
installed on my i386 Fedora 15 server):
- Build 32517 works perfectly with every versions of perl I have tested
(5.12.1, 5.12.3 and 5.12.4)
- Builds 32523 to 32570 are not compliant with perl 5.12.3 and 5.12.4

I seems to be exactly the opposite of what is expected?

Thanks for this information.
Even if I haven't tried the proposed solution, I'm not sure that my
problem is due to Perl:
- OK: it appends the first time after Perl has been upgraded to v5.12.3
- But now with Perl v5.12.3 (or v5.12.4): I can run perfectly
Squeezebox Server 7.6 Build 32517

My question is: what was changed in Squeezebox Server between builds
32517 and 32523?

I've updated the system today: Squeezebox Server 6.6 build 32552 and

Downgraded to build 32517 and everything is still OK (even with Perl

I succeed to read the error message when launching the server and it's
exactly the same problem than yours!

Code:

Use of inherited AUTOLOAD for non-method YAML::Syck::DumpYAML() is
deprecated at /usr/share/squeezeboxserver/CPAN/YAML/Syck.pm line 65.
The following modules failed to load: XML::Parser::Expat JSON::XS

And Squeezebox Server fail to start

Go back to build 32517 and everything is OK

Strange?

I downgraded the server to version 7.6 build 32517: the problem was

I would like to have Logitech confirmation concerning this assertion...

But the HANDHELD skin was supported and delivered with first builds of
7.6: this problem only appears a few days ago when upgrading SBS.

My configuration: Linux/Fedora 14; Intel Atom D510 @1.66GHz (4 cores);

I had reconfigured SBS on my Linux server to use SQLite: a complete

2011-02-22 Thread ltsv38

Hello

I've successfully installed SBS 7.6 on my 2 servers
The only problem is the performances when scanning the library
My library is composed of around 28,000 files (99% FLAC) and stored on
a dedicated local hard drive for each computer (I synchronize the 2
drives)

Time for a complete (re)scan:
With SBS 7.5:
- Windows XP computer with MySQL database: 42 minutes
- Linux / Fedora computer with MySQL database: 46 minutes
With SBS 7.6:
- Windows XP computer with *SQLite* database: *20 minutes*
- Linux / Fedora computer with *MySQL* database: *3 hours 07 minutes*

It's OK now with this trick

I've installed SqueezePlay on 2 computers. If I launch SqueezePlay on
those 2 computers and play music on one of them: the 2 computers are
playing the same music at the same time.
If I rename one of the 2 players and register it on mysqueezebox.com
(Test/SN Registration): the 2 are renamed and it has no name (just
"Player") on mysqueezebox.com web site.

But it a better situation than with my Duet Controller: it's impossible
to activate it as a player since It has been patched (but which one...)!

Unfortunately I have to repeat this process each time I launch the
