Re: [SlimDevices: Beta] Can we get a 7.6 state of the union address?
Logitech is associated with mice and keyboards. I have all my house with different kinds of these, and they are really nice!!! MX Revolution, DiNovo Edge, Mini, Nano, etc.. However some of my audiophile friends do not share that my passion for Transporter I own (because of the above) and joking from time to time.. Anyway, audiophiles are different niche and Logitech is a massmarket and gadget company.. And it is not really into making software (except for drivers), which is completely different discipline Sonos are doing really good for custom installers market.. For high-end, we have Sooloos, QSonix.. We have Olive, we have millions of really good DACs. We have PS Audio PWD with their iPhone/iPad applications.. I just see this continuing disaster happening with 7.6.. Jesus, that bug that I cannot connect to my NAS with \\server\share cannot be fixed for 6 months (or more??) So many small nasty bugs... Squeeze UI is really awful and did not change for last 5 years. It was good back then, but today?? Usability is very poor. Slow. I read this: (pressing on 'i' on html page) Squeezebox Server supports SQLite and MySQL Server. SQLite is recommended for embedded systems and those with less memory, and also offers faster scanner performance. MySQL may offer better library browsing performance and is recommended for faster systems with more memory. [SlimDevices: Beta] Handling deleted track file..
Guys Latest 7.6 has suicidal behavior: it reports "Handling deleted track file errors", like these: Code: [10-08-13 23:23:46.7394] Slim::Utils::Scanner::Local::deleted (422) Handling deleted track file:///Y:/MP3%20Music/Willie%20Nelson/Milk%20Cow%20Blues/10%20-%20Fool%27s%20Paradise%20(Feat-%20Dr-%20John).mp3 [10-08-13 23:23:46.7694] Slim::Utils::Scanner::Local::deleted (422) Handling deleted track file:///Y:/MP3%20Music/Willie%20Nelson/Milk%20Cow%20Blues/11%20-%20Ain%27t%20Nobody%27s%20Business%20(Feat-%20Jonny%20Lang).mp3 [10-08-13 23:23:46.8004] Slim::Utils::Scanner::Local::deleted (422) Handling deleted track file:///Y:/MP3%20Music/Willie%20Nelson/Milk%20Cow%20Blues/12%20-%20Night%20Life%20(Feat-%20B-B-%20King).mp3 actually I've seen that it also find some "new" files..
