Not working better here. I've received several "Timed out waiting for data" errors and seen the infamous countdown from 59 minutes as well. We discovered not all problems were resolved and are +working to resolve the remaining connection issues as quickly as possible." They alsocredited me one month service. I'm not sure how useful that will be, since I'm not exactly confident that this will be working within a month at this rate. So no, it isn't working still. Re: [SlimDevices: Beta] Rhapsody/Local Troubles Again :
I'm still experiencing the problems. Specifically, the problem I'm seeing today is that it'll just stop in the middle of a track. Earlier this evening it was so bad that I gave up on Rhapsody and went to local music. Oddly, it had seemed to be working fine for the last day or so but as of around 12:30am CST this morning, it seems to be very spotty. While at work, I even had the web player error on me several times and gave up on it there as well. Really reconsidering this whole paid service thing... -- smkelly smkelly's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1025 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=55984 ___ beta mailing list beta@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/beta

Sure can. I just did it here. Settings > Advanced > Sound Effects > None. I don't know about the startup sound, though. -- smkelly smkelly's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1025 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=56032 ___ beta mailing list beta@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/beta

Rhapsody will play perfectly for a wile, then will just fail to advance to the next track, cut out in the middle of a track, or stop having sound. Advancing to the next track or restarting the current track usually corrects it, but it is still amazingly frustrating seeing as I pay for Rhapsody to work flawlessly. Re: [SlimDevices: Beta] Rhapsody timeouts on SN with 7.3
Is Rhapsody Direct via SN different from the web streaming version? The web version from Rhapsody.com in Safari doesn't seem to have any problems at all and is quite responsive and happy. [SlimDevices: Beta] 6.3.0 missing two CPAN modules
I've managed to install the May 1 nightly of 6.3.0 on OS X and get it working. The hang up is that Net::IP and File::Slurp are missing. I used the CPAN shell to install them, and everything works great now. Holy cow does ShoutCAST have a lot of streams in the new API. Anyway, I'd suggest packaging Net/IP.pm and File/Slurp.pm with the 6.3.x builds since OS X (10.4.6) doesn't seem to have it out of the box. Thanks, and keep up the awesome work! -- smkelly smkelly's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1025 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=23533 ___ beta mailing list beta@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/beta
[SlimDevices: Beta] No more .dmg nightlys?
In order to get the new SHOUTcast plugin, I went to install a nightly on my OS X 10.4 machine of 6.3 and then 6.5b1. However, I discovered that there don't appear to be any .dmg builds anymore. Did something break? Sadly, my father just got a SqueezeBox for his birthday right in the middle of the whole SHOUTcast thing. The stations they like are not listed on the old SHOUT API. So, now I've got to explain to them that it is SHOUTcast's fault, and that a fix is in the pipeline. Perfect timing, AOL. Also, is the source available somewhere for the PrefPane and OS X .dmg installer? I'd like to see how that is done, since I'm a newcomer to OS X programming/development. -- smkelly smkelly's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1025 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=23493 ___ beta mailing list beta@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/beta
