The solution is clear, but as I work under Unix only, the Windows-only
mp3tag isn't available for me. Typically I use easytag, but apparently
this doesn't to ID3 APE type tags. Anyone a good Unix recommendation
for me?

(Yes, I have the same few files with an APE problem)

Yep, I'd rather have the old behaviour back too (ID3v2 preference over
ID3v1 over ID3APE), or more sophisticated an option to tweak this
yourselves. I don't think there's vote taking, is there? ;)

Re: [SlimDevices: Beta] New Default skin

2008-02-17 Thread wimvandorst

With Gentoo-linux, gnome and Firefox, and SC7 (build 20080210), new
Default webinterface, I get very odd artwork behaviour in the Now
Playing field. The CD cover picture shows up way too big (imho),
obscuring the titles. (See attachment 1). Note: the pictures are in a
dedicated file 'cover.jpg' in the filesystem folder where the MP3 files
are.

With a larger picture, the effect is more drastic, especially when
hovering above a title in the invisible list, popping up extra artwork
(see attachment 2).

Using the Fishbone webinterface, all artwork is nicely rescaled to
appropriate size (see attachment 3).

Do I do something wrong, or have I missed an important thing
somewhere?

Firefox, version 2.0.0.11, with stamp:

Code:

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.11) Gecko/20071127

The file where that picture is from is actually located on

Thanks for taking the interest.

Hi Michael,

In the squeezecenter.log, I don't notice any serious errors, but now
you pointed me to the scanner.log, I do see significant errors,
although I can't place them.

Michael Herger;270877 Wrote:

I ran the command, and got a lot of PERL messages (errors?). So I
included that error log (duck.log), the scanner.log that you asked for
and the server.log (just to be sure).

Unfortunately, I'm not well versed in perl, so assessing what would now
exactly be wrong (either in the perl setup or in the squeezecenter
setup) is difficult. Your help would be appreciated.

Indeed I tested the file before uploading, but apparently the details
were removed in the uploading process? Today I tried again from work,
with ??? the same effect?

Here's another try, and apologies for the misunderstanding.
