Re: [SlimDevices: Beta] Feature Request: Queue in Playlist Next

2008-07-30 Thread wysbf2

Just my 2 cents on the moreThanThis=1 trick. As a happy Slimserver 6.5
user upgrading to SC7, it's a shame I have to scout around on the
forums to get access to the feature I use the most - i.e. the Next
button - which was available by default. But I grant that the new SC7
is much nicer on the whole - dragging tracks up and down is nicer than
incessantly clicking the up/down buttons in the old Slimserver
interface.

It wasn't available in the Default skin, but only in Fishbone - where it still
is. We decided against them by default as the number of buttons can clutter the
screen. I did enable them (after all I added that hidden feature because I
wanted it :-)), plus I'm using MusicIP Mixers. Which makes five buttons. Quite
a lot on top of eg. the artwork icons.

Why don't you just once and for all make this a configurable option? It
should be obvious that anyone who wants such a feature isn't concerned
about the supposed clutter of the additional two buttons.

Well, it's using the same NEXT string, as in Next track :-(.

It's still valid: if the track/album displayed is in the playlist, it will be
removed from it.

Is this exposed more formally anywhere, Michael? It sounds like it

[SlimDevices: Beta] Feature Request: Queue in Playlist Next

2008-06-21 Thread kbeast

Looking for a feature similar to Fishbone that adds to queue next or at
the end of the current playlist. The ability to move songs up and down
a playlist that is playing would be great too. I often make changes on
the fly when people are over, and feel like I have to stop and
randomize the current playlist.

I'm digging the new interface in SC7, just feel like the default skin
is missing this.

Thanks,
.kb
