That's a known bug with the web UI. Your best bet is to add your
Pandora account at test.squeezenetwork.com.

Reporting bugs ? The sticky tread on top of most sub-forums, in beta it
is this post:

which points you here:

Re: [SlimDevices: Beta] WHS: Where is the most stable SQL version (nightly 7.3.4 gone!)

2009-08-28 Thread sjchmura

If someone can direct me to the proper way to formally report bugs that
would be great.

Anyway

Running Receiver+Controller+ a few softqueeze+ WHS version (latest)

Since the last 2-3 weeks I have been unable to, via remote desktop or
the controller, to log into my Pandora account:

On the remote desktop (simplest but the same for the controller

1. Go to pandora
2. States needs login (ok, buy I have a mysqueeze account already
whastever)
3. I enter my email address and click the "find" button
4. Now asks for password
5. Enter password (yes, this combo is correct)
6. Now when you look on top at the "tree" it states

Reciever->Pandora->Login PASSOWRD password PASSWORD

Only a blank CD cover shows.

So it is taking my password and sending it as the LOGIN also..

Ditto if you try and use the controller (so painful since my email
address is long) you do NOT get a connection.

Again, going back to 7.3.4 solves all problems.

We have stopped the 7.3.x WHS builds months ago. They were not worth the
additional build, as they didn't offer any value over the regular 7.3.x
Windows build. This latter can be installed after you've connected to your
WHS using Remote Desktop Client.

The "22990" Aug 1 actually works! Scanned, stabe, squeezeplay even
connects eventualy!

I think I am going to keep this build and archive it in case the future
ones break something I can post this

Re: [SlimDevices: Beta] WHS: Where is the most stable SQL version (nightly 7.3.4 gone!)

2009-08-02 Thread gharris999

It used to be that a couple of months worth of nightly builds were
available on the Slimdevices servers. This seems not to be the case
anymore...at least with the minimal spelunking that I've tried.

If you look here: http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/7.3/sc/

..you ought to find the recent 7.3.4 build history. Unfortunately,
there are only two days worth of builds there and neither one seems to
have a WHS msi install file.

For now, you may be stuck with attempting to install and run 7.4 on
WHS:

http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/?ver=7.4

Michael Herger has been the person who's done 99.99% of the windows
setup development. Maybe he could chime in here and reveal where the
7.3.4 WHS msi files have got to. Or did they ever exist? My memory is
a little vague here. It's possible that the WHS msi files have always
been 7.4 only. I just did a quick search through the source, and while
the 7.4 branch has a ..platforms/win32/WHS Add-In/ folder, 7.3.4 trunk
does not.

I don't have a WHS system to test with, but the normal Win32 build
works fine for me. Make sure you have the latest one (27990).

This is the augist 1 build. The "service" on WHS will not start.

Where can I upload this? Want a PM for the log file?

I have tried:

Uninstall 7-29-2009 build (works with Pandora and MANUALLY browsing
music, but NOT autoscan - autoscan FINDS the 5265 files but artist etc
is empty. Ditto just on a plain vista box)

Reinstall FRESH Aug 1 build. Will NOT start service on WHS

"Upgrade" also fails.

[SlimDevices: Beta] WHS: Where is the most stable SQL version (nightly 7.3.4 gone!)

2009-08-01 Thread sjchmura

I would like to install to my new WHS. As I understand it (and have
seen) 7.4 while scanning music and working with Pandora etc has SERIOUS
problems with the database.

Thus a few posts have said

7.3.4 WHS WORKS
7.4 "orphaned" SQL works.

Where are these located?

Basically I just want to autoscan, use pandora etc :)
