That may be, but there was no way to install whatever update...every update crashed on 0% leaving the Touch useless for now..O well...that's with betas... r9300 was Feb 3rd, today was r9301. Maybe the Touch has been sitting waiting for you to install r9300, and in the meantime r9301 was released.
