Re: [Bf-committers] Change of MinGW64 compiler

2012-07-10 Thread Constantin Rahn
Hi Blenderheads,

someone has fixed it. The r48788 mingw win64 buildbot version is running
fine now. Thank you for this to the dev who has fixed it!

Happy blending

About the issue with the crash,

This is the previous crash on render, not the one related to pthreads. The
new dll libraries are needed because of the new compiler build (code
compiled with it willl expect these dlls). It may be possible to ommit some
of these if all libraries are recompiled with
static-libgcc/static-libstcc++ but pthread will always be necessary I'm
afraid, and specific to the mingw64 build we are using :/. Same with
 libgomp.dll (openmp related).

[Bf-committers] Blender 2.64 testbuild1 AHOY

2012-07-10 Thread Sergey Sharybin
Hi,

I would call for blender 2.64 testbuild1 to attract more testers and test
whether
all platforms are ready for upcoming release.

SVN revision 48802 seems to be quite nice for this build -- compiles on
windows
and linux. Wouldn't wary much about revisions of addons and localization for
this build -- just use current one.

Some notes:
- Would suggest naming blender-2.64-testbuild1-platform for archive name
- Make sure sm_30 kernels are enabled for Cycles' CUDA
- There could be some issues with Ceres on some platforms, please let me
know
about them.

Place builds to usual place and poke me, so i would move them to download
site.

[Bf-committers] UI Translation in Blender UI + XIM support patch

2012-07-10 Thread IRIE Shinsuke
Hi,

I'm testing the UI translation addon. The addon seems to work for me,
but I think it's not so useful unless UTF-8 characters can be input
directly in the translation window.

Can XIM support patch I posted 5 months ago be merged into trunk?

http://projects.blender.org/tracker/?func=detailatid=127aid=30274group_id=9

It allows us to input UTF-8 characters in Blender on X11 systems,
so it should speed up our translation works.
