Re: [Bf-committers] Attribute locking - UI feature

2014-01-29 Thread Antony Riakiotakis
Hmm, this is more general than the lock icon paradigm, but I wonder if
people really need the flexibility that the non standard inteface enables.
My only true objection, which is in the patch cons section already, is
"hard to control, easy to backfire".

Hi,

I've re-enabled it now, seems this was temporarily switched off. It
is building already even, thanks!

2014-01-29 Thread Brecht Van Lommel
Hi,

It's very early, we don't even know yet if Blender will be accepted as
an organization for the 2014 edition, that's still a month away.
http://www.google-melange.com/gsoc/events/google/gsoc2014

When that happens there will be a wiki page with information, here's
the 2013 pages:
http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Dev:Ref/GoogleSummerOfCode/2013/Application_Template
http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Dev:Ref/GoogleSummerOfCode/2013/Ideas

For generic information for new developers there's this page:
http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Dev:Doc/New_Developer_Info

I would love to see all of the materials automatically baking to a if map,
if you choose the option in the material panel (game)
It is counter intuitive to need 3 steps to apply a material.

If you're interested in game engine work, you can find me on IRC
