[Bf-committers] Particle invisibility TODO

2012-11-16 Thread Mikee Rice
Hi,

Some time ago I posted a bugreport about this issue
(http://projects.blender.org/tracker/?func=detailatid=498aid=28881group_id=9)
which appeared to be a duplicate of
(http://projects.blender.org/tracker/?func=detailatid=498aid=31913group_id=9),
but back to then were no any active developer who wanted to fix this issue and
it was moved to TODO's.

I forget about that for some time, but recently I got the project where I very
need this tool, and if you guys making good progress with bugreports and
thinking about do some TODO work, I want to propose to take care of this one.

Thanks,
Mikee Rice

Nope, Double Sided working in Cycles too. I beleive that maybe we need global
switch for this option, as Brecht proposed earlier.

21.09.2012, 17:58, Thomas Dinges blen...@dingto.org:
Fixed the issue with the Geometry Data panel not showing up for Cycles.

In regard to the Normal panel, I think this is correct, as these are
Shading options related to Blender Internal only.

 Thomas

I can understand that you have no UI team to handle all deficiencies in blender

When someone makes bug report you ask him to fix it by his own?
Just ignore kinda requests if dont want to do them.

 Everyone know you can ...
 - open the text space
 - right click on the offending button,
 - select 'Edit Source'
 - change the python source of the UI and run the script to test changes.

Making these kinds of layout edits is really trivial if its just a
 matter of basic button re-arranging.

Re: [Bf-committers] Meanless using of space in skin and simple deformmodifiers

2012-05-26 Thread Mikee Rice
This is not about me, or someone else, but about that third part of space in
skin modifier just lost. And what even worse, someone from developers made this
by intend.
And my guess you will not find blender user who can tell that previous
interface of skin modifier was worser then current (symmetry axes part).

Camblell is not UI module owner, he doesn't must to do something with it.

27.05.2012, 04:44, Mike Belanger mikejamesbelan...@gmail.com:
Try running this, this offers an improvement in layout of those modifiers:

…And yeah, Campbell honestly has better things to worry about, especially if
a guy like me can fix this kind of layout stuff.

You didn't get the point. My bad, it must be writen in this way: And if
someone will makes bug report you ask him to fix it by his own?

27.05.2012, 05:09, Mike Belanger mikejamesbelan...@gmail.com:
When someone makes bug report you ask him to fix it by his own?

FYI, what you describe isn't really a bug, its more of an interface/aesthetic
consideration.  Bugs are unintended behaviours such as a crash, or artifacts
in a render.  This button layout is clearly intentional, despite its
 inefficient use of space.
