There's no actual error message in this log, maybe it is higher up?
The warning would be good to fix but there don't seem do be any recent
changes in this area, so probably it's not the cause here.

Hi,
SVN 45170 compiles fine here on Win 7 x64, scons.

Also always attach the actual error line, should be above the posted
output.

[Bf-committers] Error building blenderplayer

2010-01-03 Thread Sergey I. Sharybin
Hi,

I'm trying to build Blender2.5 revision 25691 and got such error:

Linking program ==> 'blenderplayer'
/mnt/data/src/packages/blender/build/linux2/lib/libbf_rna.a(rna_ui_gen.o):
In function `UILayout_template_ID_preview_call':
rna_ui_gen.c:(.text+0xf46): undefined reference to `uiTemplateIDPreview'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
scons: ***
[/mnt/data/src/packages/blender/build/linux2/bin/blenderplayer] Error 1
scons: building terminated because of errors.
Scons failiure building!

I'm using the same configuration since revision 25657 and last
successful built was at revision 25666. Maybe several commits later it
is also good, but I'm not tested this.

P.S. Sorry if this mailing list is not for bug reports.

Re: [Bf-committers] Error building blenderplayer

2010-01-03 Thread Dalai Felinto
Hi,

blenderplayer is not a priority for Blender 2.50 right now, so it
keeps being "buildable" and broken every now and then. * There is no
need to report it * (and that's why it's currently disabled in the
scons config-files).

If you really need it you can try to fix it yourself (really simple,
it's a matter of updating the file
//source/blenderplayer/bad_level_call_stubs/stubs.c). The last commit
I can assure you blenderplayer is building is rev. 25640.

You can also keep an eye at the cvs logs [1] so you can check when
bplayer is up to be building again.

Cheers,
Dalai

Thank you for your help.

I'm just building new blender snapshots for our small blender community
in out city and trying to help with debugging. Is there feature roadmap
from which I could know at which feature work is focused now?

i tried that solution and it didn't work, there is even an vcvarsx86_amd64.bat
file which i think it is the one is needed, tried to rename to vcvarsx64.bat
but the same.

i searched and didn't found any results on the matter!

the only setting in my config file is enabling the cuda binaries.

Seems i used c++0 feature which does not exist in your compiler. Will
commit a fix soon (in the middle of other change atm, so wouldn't happen
immediately).

Oops, I am overworked -.-
Hmm... Seems to be a problem with mingw scons settings. I still use vc9 and
cuda 5.0 for mingw builds.
I'll take a look at this, but that'll take a while.

The relevant error is this:

You can search online for solutions to that error. Something like this

Did you run `svn up` in the libs folder?

2014-12-12 Thread Sergey Sharybin
Ah, that's mingw. Didn't notice this originally.

I'm not sure, but think we can just re-use numpy between mingw and msvc
libs (as in: no need to re-compile numpy using mingw) ?

[Bf-committers] Error building on Windows, with OSL's oslc.exe, "Permission denied"

2015-07-24 Thread Campbell Barton
Recently I tried to build Blender on a MSVC, 64bit, with a fresh CMake
config, using default configuration.
(since I had a report it was broken).

The build failed, because oslc.exe fails to run.
Even on a fresh checkout of "lib/win64_vc12/osl"

Just executing it on the command line as admin prints "Permission denied",

This could be a problem running inside VirtualBox, but so far all
other executables from our "lib/win64_vc12/" run fine.

Is this a known issue?

Don't think it's known issue, plus it seems to work for our buildbot and
another day i totally built blender from scratch on real windows without
any issues.

Do you have access to test oslc on a real machine? It also worth playing
around with VT-d settings in virtual box.

I don't have access to a non-virtualized system.

Tried changing some of the CPU/visualization settings but it didn't
resolve the issue.
