Re: [Bibdesk-users] BibDesk 1.7.6
I like the new logo! By the way, I just want to say how very important BibDesk is for my work.Essential! I use it every day and have always found it so user-friendly and efficient. Should I write a review somewhere? Vote for it somewhere? Support somehow?I did describe BibDesk as part of my workflow at an online conference last year, but that's the only support I have ever given, I think. Thank you very much for all your hard work on BibDesk over the years. It's awesome!!!On Monday, May 18, 2020, 06:07:21 PM GMT+9, Christiaan Hofman wrote: Greetings all The BibDesk development team is pleased to announce that a new version of BibDesk, version 1.7.6, is now available. Re: [Bibdesk-users] BibDesk will not open after adding many book chapters
Thank you very much for your help. By "large field" do you mean "long title" or "many key words" for example? If so, no, they were the usual size. But there was one entry that had over 80 chapters, and when I added them, that is when the problem happened. Now I cannot open BibDesk. Sorry, do you know how I could fix this problem? There are over 2000 titles, I cannot imagine starting all over again. Thank you very much for your help. The bibtex library can choke on those. [Bibdesk-users] BibDesk will not open after adding many book chapters
I have been using bibdesk for many years now with no problems. Yesterday I downloaded a lot of book chapters from a university library and added them to bibdesk as usual. Now bibdesk will not open. When I click the icon, it jumps up and down a couple times as it used to before opening, then it stops jumping but does not open. I tried taking out some of the chapters (there were many, up to 50 chapters per book or so, with about 8 books) and the bib ref for them but it still will not open. My Bib folder is using 6.64 GB now, could that be the problem? Is it too much? Thank you very much for your help with this problem. I use bibdesk almost every day and it's an essential part of my research workflow.-- Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most engaging tech sites, Slashdot.org! http://sdm.link/slashdot___ Bibdesk-users mailing list Bibdesk-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/bibdesk-users
