The registrar's form won't let me specify the VPS as the first DNS server. It changes the order so the hosting provider's DNS server is put in the first place and the VPS the second. I also changed the MX record to remove the "www.", but I guess I'll know the results once I install the mail server. It seems that I've explained myself poorly. I don't really want to have a "www." at all. Also make sure your webserver will serve up your website when asking for
http://www.nicoaragon.com and for http://nicoaragon.com
Looks like your zone file is fine. But to check it, run
dig axfr nicoaragon.com
and make sure the output matches your expectations.

Create an entry for just the domain and be sure to add a dot to the end so it
doesn't append the domain name:
nicaragon.com. IN A 46.105.24.194
www IN A 46.105.24.194
Without the dot the domain is appended so that nicargon.com without a dot would
actually be seen as nicaragon.com.nicaragon.com. With the dot it is seen
simply as nicaragon.com.
www in the above is NOT completed with a dot so that it is actually seen as
www.nicaragon.com.
