It rather depends what you put in them, doesn't it?

hostname  TXT  Root password is AndyPandy
mc-room   TXT  Entacode is 2038

Post-Its are great, but they often fall off the monitor.  This is a 
superior solution and has the benefit of being remotely accessible.
