An adult Slaty-backed Gull was found roosting on the small pier just south of Dock Road in Thorold this afternoon along the Welland Canal, taking flight at 3:15pm heading east towards the Landfill. Possibly reoccurring bird from previous years. Dock road is a small gravel laneway that runs from Ormond St south.
