Nasty day outside but the raptors seemed to be enjoying it. Had an
immature harrier, adult cooper's hawk, adult harrier, adult kestrel, and
two rough legged hawks hunting around the farm. I watched all but one of
the rough-legs catch prey. The kestrel spent the better part of a half
hour devouring a star-nosed mole right outside my window. (the cooper's,
one of the harriers and one of the rough-legged's were all viewed from my
office desk. Extremely productive day.)
My farm is 5 miles NE of Gananoque, ON.
