This Saturday morning a Great Egret is being seen in the Scotch Corners
area, west of Carleton Place. It has apparently been in the area for about
3 days.
Directions:
From Ottawa take Hwy 7 west to Carleton Place and continue a few more kms.
Turn left (there is a left turn lane) onto the Scotch Corners Road. In
about 1 km there is a flooded area on the right side, after #2091, viewable
from the road.
Yesterday the egret was seen along McCann Rd, which is further along Scotch
Corners Rd, on the left.
