Greetings to all Ontbirders! :) The Great Egret recently reported to be in the north pond of The Coves, in London, On, is still there as of early this morning. I spotted it last night and have had reports of it from today as well. Just make sure to check both sides of the road (springbank), which feature two different ponds. The bird will fly between ponds, but doesn't seem to be bothered by the proximity of the road in the North Pond too much.
There are a lot of minnows here for the bird to feed on, so it may stay a while. Also, keep eyes peeled for shorebirds as I have had a few reports of different species as well. For directions, e mail me or call me at 226-663-8163 All the best!
