Greetings, I saw a GREAT EGRET, at close range, flying over Durham 23 (Lakeridge Rd. ) at the north end of town as I was driving south through Port Bolster. The bird was flying east. A pair of male and female RED BELLIED WOODPECKERS and a lonely CAROLINA WREN have been heard and seen regularly near the intersection of Parklawn Blvd. and Beechwood Rd. in Beaverton.
Port Bolster is about an hour north of Markham on hwy 48. Beaverton is another 15 minutes north on Durham 23. Cheers, Greg Jaski Beaverton Sent from my i-pod. _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
