I found my 1st redwing of the year and a great egret in La Salle along turkey creek on Feb.13th. Turkey creek runs thru Matchette road in La Salle and is about 1 mile south of Sprucewood road. Both birds were seen east of Matchette road from the little bridge that crosses turkey creek.
