Re: [Ontbirds] Least Tern - Grand Bend
Correction - Waterworks Rd is near the intersection of Hwy 83 & Hwy 21 (not Hwy 12 as previously posted), just north of Grand Bend. The bird was still being seen when I left a few minutes ago, albeit it had moved further off in the distance towards the NE. [Ontbirds] Least Tern - Grand Bend
A group of us have been watching the Least Tern actively foraging on Lake Huron since 2:34pm at distances ranging from 200m-600m offshore. We are on the beach at the end of Waterworks Rd, located near the intersection of Hwy 83 & Hwy 12, just north of Grand Bend. [Ontbirds] Least Tern grand bend Huron shoreline yes
Birders, A group of us have had the Least Tern fly by us along the lake Huron shoreline twice in the past hour. First observation. Was foraging and moving north. We just had ot again flying south not too far offshore. Bord appears to be foraging, so checking grand bend waterfront and or port Frank's is best bet. Our observation vantage is just north of grand bend. Record photos taken. Ken Burrell kenneth.gd.burr...@gmail.com The Best Places to Bird in Ontario - in stores spring 2019.
